Description
On the night of June 9, 2026, a fire broke out at Arima Inari Shrine on a hillside near the Arima hot spring district in Kobe's Kita Ward. The fire is believed to have started from the priest's residence on the shrine grounds. The 80-year-old priest and his wife sustained minor injuries. Firefighting continued into the early hours of June 10. Nearby hotels temporarily gathered guests as a precaution. Police and fire authorities are investigating the cause.
