Manpuku-ji 火災

概要

On July 5, 2025, a fire destroyed the main hall of Manpuku-ji in the Nishitani area of Izumo, Shimane Prefecture. The fire was reported around 4:55 p.m. by a nearby resident who saw heavy smoke. The wooden main hall was destroyed and fire spread to surrounding forest. The fire was suppressed about three hours later. No injuries were reported. Police and fire authorities are investigating the cause.
