Ikeda Hachimangu 火災

概要

In the early hours of September 11, 2025, a fire destroyed the main and worship halls of Ikeda Hachimangu in Kumamoto City's Nishi Ward. The fire was reported before dawn and firefighting continued for about 50 minutes after the first report. No injuries were reported. The shrine served as a local guardian shrine in a forested hillside area. Police and fire authorities are investigating the cause.
