Horen-ji 火災

概要

On February 7, 2026, a fire destroyed three buildings at Horen-ji in Kumakogen, Ehime Prefecture: the main hall (~260 sq m), memorial hall (~150 sq m), and the head priest's residence (~170 sq m). The fire was reported around 1:50 p.m. All four family members were away from the temple at the time. No injuries were reported. Police and fire authorities are investigating the cause.
